Waldorf-Salat
Ein Waldorf-Salat ist ein Obst- und Nusssalat mit einem Mayonnaise-Dressing. Er wurde 1896 von Oscar Tschirky, dem Maître d’hôtel im New Yorker Waldorf-Astoria, kreiert. Traditionell enthält er kein Fleisch, aber oft wird Hühnerfleisch hinzugefügt, um ihn zu einer vollständigen Mahlzeit zu machen.
Zutaten
- 125 ml Mayonnaise
- 1 Esslöffel Weißer Zucker
- 1 Teelöffel Zitronensaft
- ⅛ Teelöffel Salz
- 3 Äpfel – geschält cored, and chopped
- 250 g Staudensellerie in dünnen Scheiben
- 125 g Gehackte Walnüsse
- 125 g Rosinen Optional
Anleitungen
- Alle Zutaten zusammenstellen.
- Mayonnaise, Zucker, Zitronensaft und Salz in einer Servierschüssel verquirlen.
- Äpfel, Staudensellerie, Walnüsse und Rosinen unterrühren. Abdecken und bis zum Servieren im Kühlschrank kühlen.
Notizen
Sie können statt Äpfeln auch Birnen verwenden, statt Staudensellerie, Knollensellerie, statt Mayonnaise auch Crème fraîche oder Cranberrys statt Rosinen.
Bewahren Sie den übrig gebliebenen Salat in einem luftdichten Behälter im Kühlschrank bis zu drei Tage auf.
